Watched Mulholland Drive. Didn't get it, don't want to make any attempt to get it. It has made me feel better about my film - it doesn't matter if no one understands, as long as the right feelings are put across it doesn't matter how bizarre and odd (and pointless it is). Like when the face suddenly appears from behind the wall, for the rest of the film whenever someone is by a wall you think something is going to jump out at them. Puts the audience on edge, but isn't very graphic, just imagination and memory make it uneasy. This is better than blatant in your face shocks.
Have been thinking about doing a split screen.
